Christmas Designer Wishlist

Wednesday, 3 December 2014

As the run up to Christmas comes it wouldn't be right if I didn't post an ultimate wishlist of all of my favourite designer pieces. If I could I would go out and purchase these all now, just relying on winning the lottery first...

I've been really needing a new laptop for uni, as my old trusty Sony is beginning to give up. So this Macbook would be perfect to replace my dying one. Throughout this winter I have been hunting and searching for a pair of winter boots and jacket. When I was working at Harvey Nichols over the summer I stumbled across this Muubaa shearling jacket and fell in love with it and who wouldn't want these Acne Studios Pistol boots?!

What is on your Christmas wishlists this year?

Street Rose #2

Saturday, 4 January 2014

Remember me? Probably not, I haven't had the time to post due to the Christmas festivities. I didn't get finished University until the 20th which meant I had so much to catch up with as soon as I ventured back home to Edinburgh. Thankfully I have caught up with the family and started work again in Monsoon.

Anyway lets get back to the point of this post - STREET ROSE. I stumbled across this website via twitter and completely fell in love with their variety of bracelets. The lovely team sent me over a couple of bracelets, and the other two I received for Christmas from my mum and boyfriend - I guess they were reading my blog posts after all!

Three of the bracelets have a magnetic clasp so are super easy to put on, which I especially love, the worst thing is buying a bracelet that you can't actually put on yourself. You can just snap these on and away you go. They are one of my favourite accessories this year as I have been wearing them non stop, small enough to wear them as an everyday casual look, but also cute enough to wear to something fancier.

Christmas Ideas #1

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

So I thought I would do some Christmas gift ideas to help you all along with that dreaded Christmas shopping. I absolutely love Not On The High Street for personalised gift ideas, they make presents better for giving and receiving them. It is always nicer to get a present that someone has really put a lot of effort into getting you it.

Gift Ideas For Your Other Half:

I have a boyfriend, for those that do not know, I am not a little lonely girl that sits and blogs all night long. Well, I do that too but usually my boyfriend is sitting next to me. Hi James, if you are reading these aren't the things I have bought you for Christmas, or is it? Anyway, I find buying for boys really difficult, they just don't like the same things as girls too. I understand girls way more so I find it much easier to buy for them. Why don't boys like shoes and make-up, I could easily buy them something like that.

Who doesn't love a cute personal pillow to finally end that row over which side is yours. You can change this to a couple of different sayings to really write what you want.

I totally love all the girly stuff that comes with relationships, and think that this is a really sweet way of showing your loved one what it is you really love about them. You are able to completely personalise this and can have private jokes that only you two know about. Cute.

This is a great idea for anyone that sometimes lets life over take their relationship. It is so nice to have a little jar that you can pick your favourite things to do and put them in there to create date nights that you can do with the one you love. It's a great idea to make time for just the two of you.

How cute is this personalised name card wallet? The perfect present for a grown up guy who needs something a little nicer to hold his cards in. I love the font the name is spelt in too, super chic.

Christmas Night Out

Monday, 2 December 2013

With the Christmas fast approaching I thought I would put together a few pieces which I would love to wear on a Christmas night out, whether it be with work or friends. You always want to look your best and go that extra mile over the festive season.

I've kept all the choices from a online fashion retailer called Fashion Union, recently I have been stalking their website and am loving all of their stock. I thought it would be the perfect way to get more people to become aware of them. You can head over to the site here.

I am in love with this dress and think it would bring a perfect amount of sparkle to your night out.The revealing back is risqué but the swing dress cut keeps it youthful and playful. This dress also comes in silver and gold, but I much prefer the black as I believe it is easier to wear throughout the year.

This colour has been one to watch over the last season, it is cool, sexy and always looks great with any skin tone. It may be controversial but I actually really like velvet, I know many people find the texture strange to touch, but I don't mind it. I like the shine it gives, and this dress keeps it current with the bodycon style and cut out panels. This dress comes in navy too, but I prefer the the wine.

I think this is my favourite pick out of all the outfits. The detail on the front of the skirt caught my eye immediately, and I full heartedly believe is 'wearing white after labour day'. If you do it right it can look fabulous, white pleather is a great alternative to the usual black that you see. I am hoping to get this as soon as I am paid next.

What are you loving from Fashion Union?

Winter

Sunday, 1 December 2013

It is officially December which means it is acceptable to finally acknowledge Christmas! YAY. For December this year I have decided to try and write a blog post almost every day in the run up to Santa coming. This for will be prove a hard task as I have University all the way up until the 20th this year. It is looking to be a very busy month. So if I don't manage to post every day, I apologise.

Although I am not looking forward to the ice, I do secretly look forward to snow everyday. These photos were taken a few years back when we had really bad snow, all the way up to my thighs in some parts! It is safe to say that even for Scotland this is an unusual occurrence.

What is your favourite part of winter?
