Clarins Haul*

Tuesday 16 September 2014

Clarins is a brand I quite often forget about when buying my everyday make-up essentials but I always find products that I am impressed with. Recently I have had the opportunity to try a few new products including two eye-shadows, two lipsticks and a eye lid primer. First of all, how amazing is this packaging? I am a big fan of products which look aesthetically pleasing and work amazingly, and Clarins products certainly do.

Rouge-Eclat Satin Finish Age-Defying Lipstick - I tried this in both Chestnut Brown & Pink Magnolia and really love them both. The pink isn't too girly and the matte finish really makes it great for everyday or a night out. For only £19.50 this rivals the likes of YSL and Chanel lipsticks. I would really recommend if you are looking for a new brand to try.

Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow - I always tend to go for nude to brown eyeshadows as they suit my skintone better than most, so I was really excited to try this in both Nude Pink and Rosewood. The Rosewood shade is a very light brown and is really nice when applied. The only problem I had with this is the cream application as I usually prefer a powder based eyeshadow, but once this was applied I was actually really surprised at how much I loved it and for only £19 it is a steal.

Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base - I may be about to commit beauty blogger treason for admitting that I don't usually use any primer base before applying my eyeshadow. So when I tested this I wasn't sure what to expect. Thankfully the base is not too thick, and gives a light even coverage which keeps my eyeshadow on very well. Priced at only £22 this is similar to the Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer.

What do you think of Clarins?
